But by examining them so closely, I also studied their many differences. Apparently he missed the forest for the trees.
All you really need to study is the salvation method of the two religions.
- In Christianity we are called to be perfect. And yet we aren't perfect, we all have sinned. And since there is no good that we can do, that we shouldn't have done anyway if we knew it was good, there is nothing we can do to make up for our sin. Thus God provided a sacrifice for us. He paid the price for us, and gave us the imputed righteousness of Jesus. Thus God himself, makes us perfect. "Come let us reason together, though your sins are like scarlett they shall be white as snow."
- In Islam you are weighed by the scales of justice. If you have done 51% acts of good and 49% acts of evil, then you are okay. If you are less than 50% you are in trouble.
So facing a perfect Holy God, a God who knows no sin, which one do you thing will fly?
- Washed clean and pronounced perfect by God's own son?
- Or 51% good and 49% evil?

Of course you could choose the buddist way. Die to all feelings of attachment in this world. Reach nirvana where you care about nothing. So that your spirit can rejoin with the mother spirit and lose all individuality.
Myself, I prefer Jesus's call, "I have come that they might have life and have it more abundantly."

The ONLY way to be sure of salvation is through Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross!

“Come let us reason together, though your sins are like scarlett they shall be white as snow.”
I’ll think about that tomorrow.
