All priests, including the Bishop of Rome, have a confessor, as I understand it. I believe that is true. Today, however, he simply walked up to a confessional at random. This reminds me of Pope JPII who invited a beggar (a former priest) to dinner and then asked him to hear his confession.

Have you ever seen 1968's The Shoes of the Fisherman? It eerily predicts both JPII and FI, IMO.

I’m wondering, is that story confirmed to be true? JPII confessed his sins to a former priest who was a street beggar at the time? (I finally got around to reading it now)
