She’s already been excommunicated she’s done it to herself.
When she receives the Eucharist she is consuming her own DEATH at this point.
Would we rather see her publicly humiliated via a public excommunication? Probably many of us would. I know I’m tired of this scandal and believe me when she dies and when her bishop(s) die they will have a LOT to answer for of they don’t confess this sin. But this is just how it is now. There’s nothing to do.
Is this “satisfying”? What does really satisfy though? As I’ve said previously, only CHRIST satisfies, so it’s pretty darn foolish to hinge our measure of satisfaction on whether or not some obstinate sinner is publicly excommunicated.
For a Catholic, this should be enough. We should not let this scandal steal our joy in Christ. For the rest, pray that her bishop does the right thing or she is converted.
Other than that, there is nothing to be said. Or done. Lest we give the devil the tempestuous misgivings of our unbridled emotions.
She just took communion at the Vatican and met with her Holy Father, was Ted Kennedy excommunicated?
