They refuse to call it sin, showing they aren’t very repentant yet

See post #11 I just had to ask, had to ask.

“Moral failings: caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl.”

A dead girl? Really?

<><><><><

An old expression my dad used to use. The 2 cardinal sins of a public figure. Get caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl. Of course the assumption was that the public figure in question was a man.

For some reason Mary Jo Kopechne comes to mind.

The big challenge for Calvary Chapel is to find a replacement. Well, I know someone of some importance who is going there today and I made a recommendation...CHARLES HENRICKSON!!! Now how Calvary Chapel could adjust to Missouri Synod Lutheran (or vice-versa) I don’t know but, man, would I love to see that happen!!!

Bob Coy is a wonderful pastor, great teacher and leader...

Indeed. I live down here and CC is a very positive influence in the community.

Having seen "Pastor Bob" preach, both on TV and at the chapel itself, I must say that this is a major blow to the congregation, and its ministry.

I find it hard to fathom how someone in such an important leadership position would fall to such a "routine" temptation.

It serves to remind us that ALL have sinned; even the most judgmental voices on this forum, and everywhere else, fail the Lord, and their brethren, on a daily basis.

The particulars of each sin are relatively unimportant, since ALL of us fail every single day. For me, it creates a sense of proper humility.
