I have found that surviving a difficult test often leaves me feeling “owed” a rest, and from that I drop my guard (spiritually speaking). From there it is a small step to a major screwup! Discipline is follow-through, as my coaches used to say in sports. Well, it’s the same thing in spirituality - there are no “small” tests.
