Are not churches suppose to be as Pope Francis has said, “field hospitals” for the sick?

I don't think you're following this. If Jesus Christ says that remarriage after divorce is adultery, then a pope who teaches this teaches infallibly by simply repeating the command of the Lord. Any Pope must say the same. There's no wiggle room in the case of a valid marriage: it's by definition (God's definition) indissoluble...

Can't tell me that isn't funny!

"Why not be courageous and address the pain of active homosexual couples, child rapists, murderers, etc.?"

Well yes, that too. By unrepentant mortal sin, they could not benefit from Communion even if it were (sacrilegiously) given to them -- God forbid. But nobody should be be excluded from the Church's pastoral care, leading to repentance and hope and healing from the Lord Himself.

Quite right, AMPU. That’s why repentance and conversion must always be preached; and hope and healing must always be practiced.

Sorry, I didn't explain myself properly. You said, ........ “Cardinal Kasper and Pope Francis have [condoned sin] in their recent “gathering”

I meant to say, I need a quote and link to verify that. I don't think Pope Francis condoned sin.
