Cardinal Wuerl announced at Little Flower Church in Bethesda, Md., several years ago that “I will never deny Communion to anyone who has not been formally excommunicated.”

But he was lying.

The divorced-and-remarried are not excommunicated. Yet Cardinal Wuerl denies them Communion.

Why is this so?

Because ROME CARES about giving Communion to the divorced-and-remarried.

On the other hand, when a priest denied Communion to an announced, notorious lesbian, he was suspended immediately by Cardinal Wuerl.

When Nancy Pelosi marches up for Communion, she has Cardinal Wuerl’s guarantee that she will be given Communion.

Why?

Because ROME DOES NOT CARE.

But isn't it the 'cop-out' answer that says they have excommunicated themselves and shouldn't be asking for Communion??? And that takes the responsibility away from the priest???
