Part of the Occamist theory is also the claim that the divine will is the cause of all things and its own rule, so that God did not will things because they were good, but they are good because he willed them.

That is precisely the position of orthodox Islam - both Suni and Shiite.

Allah is pure, unfettered Will. There is no "nature" of things. There are no "natural laws." Indeed, there is no "cause and effect" but only things that appear that way due to Allah's habits of mind.

It leads inevitably to a dead end.
