Compare the Pope's kind treatment of Fr. Sean Fagan and Don Michele De Paolis with the persecution of Fr. Stefano Manelli, founder and first Minister General of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate. The community he founded and led has been smashed by Pope Francis' Apostolic Commissioner. The apparent double standard being applied regarding "mercy" is impossible to miss. Is this brand of "humility" and "forgiveness" reserved for homophiles and others who attack the Natural Law in regard to sexual morality and Christ's teachings on marriage? While the Pope is kissing Don Michele's hand, Fr. Manelli is under house arrest, forbidden from going to Avellino in order to visit his parents' grave and to celebrate Mass. The treatment of Fr.
