The people who LEAST cared about these babies were their mommies and daddies. HARD to get a foothold in life when the TWO most important people in life, for a while, are the ones who want baby dead.

You have illustrated exactly why I reject these slogans as substitutes for clear moral propositions.
Like the “Seamless Garment,” “throwaway culture” is a mere slogan, that lumps together categorically different issues, and makes intelligent discussion impossible.
What are we to do? Keep using computers that ARE obsolete, just because they still “work”?
WHERE are these “mountains” of styrofoam? The notion that “we are running out of space” for trash and garbage is a myth. Nowadays, “landfills” produce energy.
Crap entertainment is a symptom. The Root Cause is government schooling, which was always intended to produce stupid, undiscriminating zombies, susceptible to crap like Obama.
Then there is the sexual revolution, thrown into this mix and OBSCURED by the use of the global label “throwaway culture.”
The Church used to teach that sodomy, fornication, adultery, and contraception were sins. Now the Pope talks about a “throwaway culture.” Which kind of teaching actually provides people with clarity and guidance?
