Genesis 1

The Beginning

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

There are even more references in the Bible to WATER than Trees, so this will keep us studying for a while!

The Very Opening of Creation concerns the Creation of Planet Earth, and even Moses, whose experience of Water probably did not include the Great Oceans, STILL wrote of our planet being a Watery World. The Image of the Holy Spirit Hovering Over the Vast, Undivided Ocean is breathtaking.

and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

It is my understanding that the Hebrew for "waters" is not limited to H2O but it refers to any liquid. What is amazing is that some scientists have stated that, before the Big Bang, there was a mass of subatomic particles that exhibited the properties of a liquid. I don't know how they came up with that, but it made me think that Moses did not have the words for "subatomic particles" so he used "waters". It is a fact, as science advances it gets it right and comes closer and closer to Genesis!

Wonder of wonders. Amazing and we know so little of how all the wonders THAT have stayed true to their creation. What we do know is God made everything complicated and perfectly, and beautifully. PRAISE GOD!!!

Each and every single cell is full of mystery, we are ever learning new wonders scientifically. Whether animal, mineral, rocks, vegetation, or oceans, rivers, mountains, it is an on going revelation. THANK THE LORD! Man is aware and yet puzzled by a grain of sand or a blade of grass. The world goes about seldom thinking of all the phenomena of our world. HOW CAN THERE BE ATHIESTS?
