CHARLOTTE, NC, May 20, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) -- On Saturday, just 24 hours after backlash from the American people convinced SunTrust bank to reopen its partnerships with Benham REO Group, David and Jason Benham thanked supporters on their YouTube channel.

"We just wanted to say thank you. We were overwhelmed yesterday with this SunTrust debacle, and SunTrust heard from America. It was unbelievable what took place," David said in the video.

On May 15, the Benhams reported on social media that SunTrust had ended its partnership with their company due to their support for the unborn and traditional marriage. The next day, a backlash forced SunTrust to re-establish its relationship with the Benhams' company. SunTrust has denied that it ended the relationship with the Benhams, blaming a third-party vendor. The vendor, however, said the blame lay with SunTrust.

Christians need to go a step further...

Boycotting Cable and companies like DirectTV and Dish will send a clear message that millions of Christians are behind the Benham Brothers.

Evangelical Protestants, Catholics, Mainline Protestants, Orthodox, etc, should jump on this Band Wagon as far as a boycott to support the Benham Brothers.

Hit these companies where its hurts the most -- in the pocket book.

Ephesians 6:12

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Christians must stand for Christian values!. Some of the entertainment on Cable/Satellite/Internet is not things Christians should be watching or supporting by paying for these services.

The situation with the Benham Brothers gives Christians a chance to have their voice heard with their pocket books -- by disconnecting cable/satellite/internet.

So if Christians can get by with a cheaper service that is more Christian oriented or do not need cable/satellite, then change the service.

Some people need some services for their work.

But maybe some Christian companies might arise from this situation.

ROTFLMAO! 'Christians' will NEVER, EVER give up their entertainment; be it television, movies, sports...no matter what the cost.

“O! ‘Christians’ will NEVER, EVER give up their entertainment; be it television, movies, sports...no matter what the cost.”

The modern media business is completely corrupted and a major instrument for the destruction of the nation’s cultural values and spirituality. To the degree we support Hollywood, the big cable companies, Direct TV, etc. with our dollars we are aiding those who would destroy Christianity. God does give us the freedom to choose.

This is an understandable reaction but I’m not so sure the correct response to this kind of thing is for Christians to “circle the wagons”.

Maybe you have a different opinion/view -- but I am referring to cable/satellite stuff. Maybe you are referring to what they are saying in the article...

Just look at the highlight of the NFL draft -- GAY KISS broadcast.

Some of the stuff on cable/satellite is very inappropriate for Christians to have in their homes, if you are referring to the cutting the cable/satellite dish connection.

Most of what Hollywood has produced since the early 1960's and TV from the 1970's is mostly anti-Christian stuff.

The media, for the most part, is against Christians.

And they will celebrate ‘freedom and liberty’ on the holy day of july 4th just like the porn industry, hollywood, music industry, abortionists and whatever other industries will too celebrate their ‘freedom and liberty’ received from man made government...
Oh, if the freedom and liberty the Messiah of Israel gives us was enough to satisfy - we wouldn’t worry about what the man made world does or thinks or what ‘freedoms or liberties it appears to ‘take’s back’ .

Sackcloth and ashes and a work day more appropriate than fireworks and grilling..

But I am certainly in the minority...

I'm kind of torn on this strategy. It might work for a while, but it's destined to fail.

Rev 13:16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
Rev 13:17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

The Behnham brothers is just the beginning. We're seeing this come to pass before our very eyes. Merely stating Christian beliefs in a public venue already leads to financial repercussions. Look at the Robertsons. Look at the Firefox CEO. This very well could be the beginning of the coming economic persecution.

Politefully disagreeing with homosexual marriage is tantamount to lynching and is crushed totally and completely by the media and the government.

It's only a matter of time...
