From the Turner Classic Movies website:
Rev. Mother Dolores Hart, a former film star who became a Roman Catholic nun, is the TCM Guest Programmer for May. Now Prioress of the Benedictine Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, Conn., Hart made 10 films in six years in the 1950s and '60s, appearing with such costars as Elvis Presley (Loving You, 1957), Anna Magnani (Wild Is the Wind, 1957) and George Hamilton (Where the Boys Are, 1960).
Hart chooses Lisa (aka The Inspector, 1962), a film in which she starred as a survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. She remembers the film (a TCM premiere) as "a deep experience of the meaning of suffering." Laura (1944) is a reminder of Hart's childhood, when she gazed at Gene Tierney and thought, "I want to do that too!" She also has fond memories of The Song of Bernadette (1943) and agrees with host Robert Osborne that Jennifer Jones was "luminous" in that movie. Hart's final pick is The Rose Tattoo (1955), because Magnani, its star, "taught me what acting was about."

Something to look forward to, ping!
I saw that beginning of the month NYER
I get TCM newsletter she pick up good lineup
That’s a real trip! I can’t wait!
There really are nice people in this world.
How about Two Mules For Sister Sara?
I saw a special on her. She had a boyfriend she left behind when becoming a nun. He never married.
Heaven knows Mr. Allison would be a good one too. You can’t beat Robert Mitchum and Debra Kerr. Great movie.
It starred Paul Douglas and Janet Leigh.
Elvis must have done something to her for her to run away to become a nun.
Sorry Minn, but she speaks quite highly of Elvis. He did nothing to her. She answered to a higher calling in deciding to leave Hollywood for the religious life. Read her book.
We saw Mother Dolores at our Eucharistic Congress last year. She said Elvis was very sweet and polite, with deep spiritual interests.
I really believe that about Elvis
For while he want dabble in gospel music he did for while I think drugs took over in late 1960s to 1970s
In HBO documentary that came out in couple years she praise Elvis as good guy work with
Elvis recorded many gospel songs. He was a Christian believer even when his life was spinning out of control.
thanks of the heads up; always wanted to see her movie about the Jewish survivor
