Nancy Pelosi and Biden meet the Pope and take communion at the Vatican, Ted Kennedy and other such Catholics receive elaborate and very public Catholic burials, and the support of most Catholic voters, I doubt this woman has been ex-communicated.

I'm no canon lawyer, but I think the point is that the actions themselves bring excommunication as a matter of canon law, sententiae latae, no action of another being needed.
