Are we better than they?
Dare we look down on these Ugandans? Among them, sexual sin is fully exposed. However, among us sexual sin and its damage are covered up by means of birth control and abortion while pornography use has become rampant. In our midst, single mothers are frequently isolated. Are our ways less harmful or more pleasing to God than the way these Ugandans live?
Sometimes just a few sentences can frame a whole way of looking at things, that birth control and abortion mask the sin of out of wedlock sin. Sin should be examined. Are what we are doing pleasing to God. I think that the phrase, “Is what I am doing, pleasing to God, should be meditated on and prayed upon.
I will certainly keep that in mind today.
Thank-you for you post. I am appreciative that someone in Uganda ( and I have a friend who is Indian from that country, before his family was forced to leave), has the voice of God’s wisdom. I remember the president would not trade homosexual “marriage” for US aid. Leadership in morality seems in short supply.
Actually, I think that sexual sin in the US is openly celebrated and rewarded. As evidence, out of all the possible examples, just consider the Kardashian sex tape.
We don’t eat one another.
bump for later
“just consider the Kardashian sex tape”
Haven’t seen it. Not surprised to hear about it, though.
