Through your prayers and mine, it is possible to alleviate this tribulation, but it is no longer possible to avert it. . . .How many times has the renewal of the Church been brought about in blood! It will not be different this time.”

My eyes almost popped out when I first read this. I could not believe it was authentic, but I have checked it repeatedly and yes, he did say it. And he said it to us Americans, who were at perhaps the apogee of our greatness, short of the fall of the “Evil Empire.”

Well, how seriously should we take this? Very, very seriously. After all, the speaker was about to become one of the greatest popes in the history of the Church. In addition, he was a mystic and, yes, a prophet and truth-teller who suffered under Nazism and communism, as well as in a certain sense also from Islam. (Recall that he was almost killed by a Muslim assassin, only to be saved by the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima, according to his own words.)

I believe this is very true and very close for all true believers in Christ. It will help to separate the sheep from the goats but persecution is definitely coming. Thanks for posting.

The church, every Christian church, must undergo a paroxysm of fundamental proportion to become, at least in its remnant, a suffering servant ready and willing to die to preserve God’s Will on this earth. The forces of evil have absolute dominion. Standing in opposition is the fundamental responsibility of the church.

Anyone alert to what is going on in this world can see it coming. Those favoring abortion are wearing down the others. Those favoring sexual perversion or sexual deviancy outside of marriage are also wearing down the others. Only the strong stick to their guns. The weak are acceding to the general attitude. The evil doers are calling evil good and good evil. They are saying that passages in the bible hurt people and are therefore evil. Soon, to have religion will be doing wrong. It's started. It will continue until St. John Paul II will be proved right. By then, the evildoers will appear as though what they are saying is right to the masses. Knowing the consequences, I will resist.
