Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The early Commentators struggled with this intense passage from Zechariah. Rabbinical Scholars and Christians of the Preterist persuasion adhere to the idea that this has been all fulfilled, with the destruction of the Temple by Rome in 70AD. Certainly, that was a cataclysmic event, and the idea has merit.

However, the King of Kings has not yet touched his foot on The Mount of Olives, nor has there been an earthquake great enough to split a corridor to the Mediterranean, nor has the world flocked to Jerusalem to honor the One True God. So there IS more to come!

There is also a description of a Battle which even Matthew Henry, a Bible Commentator of the 17th Century, assumes is Armageddon. The horrific scene describes the effect of tactical nukes, something neither Zechariah nor Matthew Henry knew about, but which looms as a very clear and present danger in our own age.

The effect of God's Judgement upon those who do not celebrate His Glory is drought, and the effect of His Blessing is abundant, Living, Water.

Come and pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen
