How are Christians with same sex attraction supposed to deal with lust?
This question is prompted by some videos recently made available from an evangelical pastor, Danny Cortez, and his teenage son, Drew, who has same sex attraction. Pastor Cortez and his church are stepping away from their denomination (the SBC) and are now affirming same sex relationships, conforming with the broader culture.
The attention surrounding same sex attraction provides an opportunity for us to acknowledge that we do not generally do a good job in teaching about sexual purity. Churches and leaders that are vocal in attacking homosexual practices need to go further than that and provide practical help to everyone—gay or straight—on how they can overcome sexual sin.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

Had a Catholic teacher tell me and a room full of parents on back to school night that she was required to teach the Church’s stance on homosexuality but since there was a student with a homosexual aunt, she would try to “soft peddle it” and move on quickly so as not to make the child feel stigmatized.
I stated I had a brother who does drugs and asked if the school would “soft peddle” its anti-drug campaign and move on quickly so as not to stigmatize my child. The look I got was priceless as some fellow parents gave me the “he shoots and scores!” thumbs up.
How are Christians with unattractive, old, and overweight spouses supposed to deal with lustful inclinations towards more youthful, attractive, and physically fit people?
The correct answer is NOT to indulge in that lust, or say it's OK to do so.
That’s what’s sad ... a Baptist preacher, weakened by his son’s decision to be different, screws up a whole LOT of people in the process and calls it God’s work.
How do middle-aged men deal with gorgeous 14 year olds they come across everyday?
Simple.
In the first place they aren’t acclimated to fantasizing about them. And this with the truth that any taboo against sex with such is much narrower that a flat out deviant act that initially repels “gay” people (If their own stories are any indication).
Once people, in their minds destroy the repugnance they feel for deviance their hearts follow.

Yes it screws things up, but more than likely, most, if not all the believers, if they are worth their salt, will vote with their feet, and hit the road, and go elsewhere. Too many teachers and others in schools betray their trust. Look for only more of it as homosexuality, abortion and anti-Americanism take over the curriculum.

He lumps the desires of sodomy and sexual desire of unmarried people as the same sin.
This is flat out contradicted by Scripture. Scripture calls sodomy an ABOMINATION. It NEVER calls the desires of unmarried men and women an abomination.
While they are both sinful, they are NOT the same sin.

No, God’s Law Word clearly teaches that a person sins by lusting in their heart:
Matthew 5:28 “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
Next lie:
“When gratified in the heart it is adultery in the heart as Jesus described.”
So this liar is trying to set up a fake hair-splitting of meanings, where it’s “ok to have the desire in your mind if you have not gratified it in the heart”.
Not only is this story a wicked lie, it’s absolutely STUPID. It’s a pathetic, childish failed attempt to mince words to once again, promote new world order’s homosexuality mandate.
The Bible speaks of principalities and powers being what are against Christ and Christians. Principalities are worldly governments, and powers are EXACTLY like the financial elites of new world order. IT’S PAINFULLY OBVIOUS.

The Bible tells us to not let our heart be troubled - Christ is reigning in heaven and will continually subdue the nations in history. All will bow the knee to Christ and confess his Lordship, either in joyful submission or in judgement.
The Bible tells that we are to work towards advancing Christ’s Kingdom on earth and that the end is Christ’s victory - and the two-edged sword we use is the preaching of the true gospel message. The gospel is never preached in vain. The hearer will either convert or reject - but either way, God’s will is being done. Are you reforming your local Church to conform to the true gospel message, and drop their false teachings and idolatry ? Have you given up the unbiblical celebrations of Christmas and Easter yet ? Do you honor the 52 Holy Days every year, the Christian Sabbath, the Lord’s Day ? Are you exclusively singing God’s hymns, the Psalms, in your Church, thus making sure your worship is what is revealed to us in God’s Word and not what is innovated in the minds of men ? Are you bringing the true gospel message to those you speak with ? Are you testifying of your conversion and your faith in Christ, in all humility and gladness ? Like the Apostle Paul, even in the face of adversity we should be joyful about this work.
The appropriate action if he condones his son’s homosexuality is to step down from his position.
The same for Rob Portman, when his son came out and Portman changed his position on same sex marriage.
Same way normal Christians deal with lust.
