“I don’t believe in the Ouija board”
The power is not in the board, but in where you take your thoughts when you are working with the board.
A stop sign at an intersection has no power over you. But your choice of action when you see it does.
Regarding your “where you take your thoughts” comment.
During a break in undergraduate orientation an Indian (from India) classmate talked a bunch of us into playing. A game. Not so much a game as an exercise in the power of subconscious thought and influence.
As I recall it, the game involved us standing in a circle with our right hands placed onto the shoulders of a blindfolded classmate who was in the middle of the circle. Prior to putting on the blindfold and entering the circle the game facilitator (who stayed outside the circle) had told the blindfolded classmate the name of one person standing in the circle. Upon entering the circle, by now blindfolded, he was spun around to disorient him a little.
We were told to exert slight pressure on the blindfolded classmate. After about 30 seconds of wobbling around a little bit he was pushed over right
into the person who’s name he was given.
Very Ouija boardish. Couple classmates freaked out. But as explained to us it was all about subconscious cueing and the power of suggestion.
