as i said this has been said to my face from a head priest of a decent sized congregation who by no measure is radical, he’s been almost a lifelong friend of my family. the writings of the upper church folks jive along with his interpretation.

The opinion of one "head priest" doesn't define Catholic doctrine. Any Muslims who go to heaven (and we have no guarantee that there are any) go there by the merits of Jesus Christ received through grace. That's dogmatic (infallible) teaching, and I can prove it to you if you wish.

Having a positive opinion of the Blessed Mother is perhaps a sign of openness to the truth, or a tool that God can use to bring them to the truth, but not much more than that.

Wouldn’t this church be more for the foreign workers than the Arabs? I have a friend who is a Catholic, who was born in Bahrain because his father worked there. (His family was from Goa, a Catholic region which is now a part of India).
