SNORT!

” How many times do I have to show that the Catholic Church itself agrees with me on many of the things I show you? “

The next time you do, will be the first time.

“When we give or receive Christmas gifts; or hang green wreaths in our homes and churches, how many of us know that we are probably observing pagan customs...the god, Woden, in Norse Mythology, descends upon the earth yearly between December 25th and January 6th to bless mankind...But pagan though they be, they are beautiful customs. They help inspire us with the spirit of 'good will to men', even as the sublime service of our Church reminds us of the ‘peace on earth’ which the babe of Bethlehem came to bestow” (Externals of the Catholic Church, 140).

They just don’t care what God says.

No, we just don't care what you think God says. Big difference.

As for the paganism of Christmas and Easter? Well, in the words of the White House resident: We won. Any notions of paganism associated with those holidays have been ground down into dust and scattered to the winds of history. We celebrate the Birth of Christ and His Resurrection at Christmas and Easter, respectively.

The only people who bring it up are those mythology weirdos who hang out at the sword and sorcery store in the mall and protestants. If its such an issue then you better abrograte that calendar you work off of.

No kidding?

And yet you, Pope CB the Only decree that such things make all who celebrate Christmas, Easter and Church on Sunday PAGANS!

How special. How truly special, in a very happy, psychotic way, of course.

>>Any notions of paganism associated with those holidays have been ground down into dust and scattered to the winds of history.<<

Deuteronomy 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God

So can you show me where God changed His mind on that one?

>> If its such an issue then you better abrograte that calendar you work off of.<<

In what way is the calendar used in serving or worshipping God?

>>And yet you, Pope CB<<

No such thing as a “pope” for those whose trust and belief is in Christ alone and the teachings of the apostles.

So can you show me where God changed His mind on that one?

Didn't say He did chage his mind. I'm saying this understanding is flawed. We don't worship Christmas and we don't worship Easter. Were the OT Jewish feast days and sacrifices patterned after pre-Israelite pagan customs paying homage to those deities? I don't think so. Somebody needs to put down the Hislop.

My girlfriend made pozole for me tonight. Which apparently is some sort of pre-Columbian dish used in Aztec rituals. All I know is it tastes good. Am I serving and worshiping Quetzalcoatl by partaking of this dish?

Ultimately this issue is a solution in search of a problem. And it doesn't become a problem until an individual fails to recognize that there is a visible Church, empowered by Christ through the Holy Spirit to address such things. Like santcifying the previously pagan for the Greater Glory of the the One True God!
