There is no indication that God is not on our side...We look and hope for peace on earth...That is not God's plan...Whether we get killed or not is insignificant...We are destined to die anyway...What is significant is our home in heaven...There will be no peace on earth til there is good will toward men...And that won't happen until Jesus comes back...

Amen, Iscool. I gave up on worrying too much about my dying a long time ago after accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior. While viewing this world though, through fleeting glimpses I do still find myself not only searching for peace but praying more and more for peace. Am not a lover of war. I realize though a majority of nations are lovers of war. That fact has always puzzled me. Nothing is gained in war; there are only losses incurred. Don't get me wrong for I love America and would 'Stand Up' as best am able to fight alongside of anyone willing to 'Stand Up' for America. I agree this planet will not see peace till Jesus returns yet I still long for peace. Know one day will arrive the peace, for this planet, am seeking and know peace is not possible in the way that Jesus will bring peace yet nevertheless I still long for peace for God's planet Earth.
