thank you so much. Everyone has been wonderfully supportive (no big surprise!). Yes, it has been a very long day...and as we go into a weekend, I’m figuring it is going to be a long few days. How did your daughter deal with being away from home when she was sick? Christina has been doing an amazing job enjoying the trip, but admits she misses home. Now that she is ill, I wonder how she is doing with that. Kids are resilient, I suppose.
You are very welcome, and I will continue to say prayers for her and for you.
The worst part for my daughter was the language barrier. Though she is ‘fluent’ in Spanish, there is enough of a difference in the various regions so it was awfully challenging for her. The good news is that even with the sub standard care in Ecuador, she did fine. I believe it gave her a big boost in realizing that she was responsible for herself in that situation, and came out far stronger for it.
Your Christina has so many prayers sent up for her, I’m sure she misses her Mama at this time, but knows you are there in every way that truly matters.
I will watch for updates!
