Interesting that the title is taken word for word from Thomas Cahill’s book about the Holy Land just before, during, and after the life of Christ.
Well I just watched the whole thing and it was wonderful. Brought tears to my eyes because I could relate so well to their stories, especially Paul’s story (I guess you could say I’ve lived a straight, indie-rock version of his life, just substitute the 40 Watt club for Studio 54). Understanding that by walking up those steps to go to Mass you will most likely lose all of your friends, but feeling the grace pulling you in and wanting more, so you go in anyway...
Sin is sin, it carries the same weight and brings the same desolation no matter the source.
