Paul went to Rome, spread the church there, which was then corrupted with Babylonian influences by the followers of Simon Magus, who had earlier in Samaria tried to buy an apostleship from Peter, was rejected by Peter, then posed as Peter in Rome. So he got his apostleship after all, but fake.
