Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
There are quite a few references to pigs in the Bible, none of them complimentary.
The reason given for the prohibition of the pig for food is not that it can contain disease, or that it wallows in the mud, but because, even though it has a split hoof, it does not chew the cud. The rabbit chews the cud but does not have a split hoof. So both are equally "unclean".
Isaiah is referring to hypocrites who do all the correct religious things, but whose hearts are wicked.
At no time does the Bible claim that ANY people group are descended from either pigs or apes. That "idea" came much, much later and motivates Muslims in their hatred of Jews and Christians. From the Biblical standpoint, the pig is just one in a list of unclean animals that are forbidden for food or sacrifice.
Those who continue to practice the dietary rules of Judaism have no problem with other people, who are not of their faith, eating bacon. Yet, Muslims can't stand to even see the word "Bacon" on a restaurant sign and have demanded that it be changed. Who's the "intolerant" one here?
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen
