Plain and simple because worshiping God is NOT about us.
if God were to suddenly appear before you right now...
what would you do? fall on your knees and start worshiping him?
(this is what you said you think he wants us to do)
so .. now your on you knees or possibly completely flat and prostrated....
according to you ... this is what God wants us to do...
so...
I guess your God would just stand there and say something to the effect of... that's right! WORSHIP ME!
personally I would like to think God would prefer a hug, and a tearful thank you from the bottom of my heart than me lying their worshiping him.
If I worship God, does that make Him greater in any way, shape, or form?
If I fail to worship God, does that diminish Him in any way, shape, or form?
Who, if anyone, benefits if I worship God?
Who, if anyone, suffers loss if I fail to worship God?
(I toss these questions out for discussion ... )
