Just imagine you see some homeless, wretches by the side of the road who look like they're starving. You take them into your house. They immediately start telling you what to do in your own house...you have to change everything for them, and they don't have to abide by the rules you have set for your house. Some of them even start assaulting members of your family and claim you have no business trying to correct them. It's their religion, and they get to do whatever they want, and you have to accept it or else you're a racist. Your liberal neighbors commiserate with the wretches and even claim it's your fault they are destitute.
What to do? Well, firstly, you should grab the ingrates by the scruffs of their necks and throw them out of your house. Then erect a huge wall between yourselves and your lib neighbors.
