Unfortunately a moslem’s conversion cannot be trusted as they are commanded to lie if they can gain advantage from it.

So it’s not conquets and conversion that will work. Only conquest and extermination will end this war. (They are commanded to fight until there are no more moslems or no more non-moslems)

No. There really is a God in Heaven, and He really does save Muslims. In fact, in recent years there has been explosive growth of Christian communities in several Muslim countries. These are our brothers and sisters in Christ, and it would be a monstrous evil to destroy all of them simply because a few of them are probably faking it.

But I am not concerned that such a thing will happen. Those who are unrepentantly evil we must fight, and they will face God one day too for their crimes. But God also has a plan for the many souls in Muslim countries for whom He has died. He is coming to them in dreams and visions and Bibles and missionaries, and He is finding His sheep.

One of my favorite stories. I heard this years ago on Moody radio. A Baptist missionary was telling his story (first person, not second-hand), which began with how his ministry in Mogadishu was going nowhere. But one day an Imam he had befriended invited him to speak at the local mosque (this was before the "Blackhawk Down" events), and so he did. At the end of the talk a man brought his daughter up to the missionary and asked if Jesus could do anything for her. Apparently her legs were withered and useless. The missionary gave the standard non-charismatic Baptist answer: Of course Jesus could help her but we don't know if he will. The girl's father said he understood and thank you and began to walk away. But the little girl started looking stedfastly at the missionary, and started insisting repeatedly that her father put her down. And when he put her down, she walked. Imagine an entire mosque of Shiite Muslim praising the name of "Isa," Jesus.

From that time forward there began a series of intense conversations between the missionary and the men of that mosque, especially the imam. One day the imam met the missionary in town and the missionary asked if the imam would like a Bible. The imam said that was forbidden, though he would like to know the sayings of Jesus. So the missionary took a New Testament, removed it's cover, and put a new, homemade cover on it that said, "The Sayings of Jesus." The imam received this gratefully, and apparently read it, because one day not too long after he came back to the missionary and said he was ready to become a Christian. Apparently he made his profession of faith in the middle of a busy street, because he wanted to make his profession as public as possible.

Afterwards, he told the missionary his only regret was that he wished he could share his new faith in Jesus with his family in Iran. Then a few weeks later he suddenly turned up missing. A group of men came to the missionary and told him he would no longer be able to talk with the imam. They had sent him where he would be safe from Christian teaching. They sent him back to his family in Iran.

Rom 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

So no, mass extermination does not appear to be what God has in mind for these people. Not yet, not while He is still calling a people to Himself. Our best strategy is to cooperate with, not fight, the clear intention of God to proclaim His Gospel unto the ends of the earth until He returns.

And nothing wrong with a wise and vigorous self-defense against the incorrigible ones while we wait for that happy day.

Peace,

SR
