This, to me, is unfortunately a trademark of our culture these days. Very little emphasis on thought, reason, and facts. Lots of emotion and the tossing around of terms like justice, equality, and compassion.
And it's crept into the church. We have people who want to ignore the mountain of scriptural evidence showing God's opinion about human sexuality and make up their own rules. All the while completely ignoring the ramifications of making up their own rules.
