Well, if the shoe fits . . .
Another day, another peek into the mind of the leader of the Roman Catholic Church.
In Before FRoman Catholics Claim He Was Misquoted.
Capitalism produces the things that redistributionists wish to redistribute.
Without capitalism, there is nothing for redistributionists to redistribute.
The pope is not a communist. He’s a corporatist.
So, the solution sought by the Pope is.....is what???
Socialism????
A liberal welfare state???
Destruction of capitalism????
What exactly does he want to see happen???
Tyrants have created poverty this go ‘round...-and they got plenty while the rest have none. They’re not producers, they’re takers. Anything else you need to know Pope?
Yes, and ending extensive corruption in certain countries would help. Also, strengthening the Rule of Law, with secure property rights, etc., would help.
And if they really want to change, they will democratize, with fair elections and freedom of speech. That is the biggest way to uphold the individual’s dignity, regardless of social status.
Yet, somehow, I doubt that this is what the Pope meant.
You can take the Pope out of Argentina
But you can’t take the Argentina out of the Pope.
“..Without capitalism, there is nothing for redistributionists to redistribute ”
Yet these “Activests” hate capitalism and worship stupidity.
And they hate God for that matter, so why appeal to the Pope?
Either way, he better watch out or he’ll be blacklisted from Hop Sing’s.
He doesn’t seem to understand what causes, or corrects poverty.
I just had a movement.
Holy Father, the structural cause of poverty is the rejection of God, capitalism and rule of law. But there will still be some poor, as He said, “The poor you will always have with you...” - Matthew 26:11
That’s what charity is for.
Best description I've heard yet. The only economic system the Pope has ever experienced is Peronist Fascism. He has a very warped view of how an economy should work.
As for rights, no one has a right to someone else's time and means. To assert that people have the rights the Pope enumerated is to demand that someone else must supply them. That's wrong.
LOL!
So where in the Bible does it tell people to covet and demand to be given other people’s stuff. This pope is of the devil.
You nailed it.
By encouraging chastity?
That is the biggest "structural cause" of poverty. People having sex and children outside of a permanent marriage.
Get married. Stay married.
The second is lack of working.
Get a job. Show up for the job.
I suppose in someways they depend on the same skills.
