They want to fill that giant hole in their hearts which exists because they can’t feel God’s approval of their choices. When one is sure of God’s approval, society’s approval means nothing. When one lacks the sense of God’s approval, society’s approval is everything.
They want eternal damnation for everyone, not just themselves.
