FORMER MUSLIM ENCOUNTERS JESUS IN EXTRAORDINARY NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE

"I was transformed when I met Jesus. I had been to the most beautiful place imaginable with Jesus, and I wanted everyone on earth to experience it too." -Samaa Habib

After a young Muslim woman named Samaa Habib came to Christ, she endured intense persecution from her family and the surrounding community, but even greater torment lay ahead when her thriving fellowship of Muslim converts to Christianity was bombed.

Samaa was closest to one of the bombs that detonated. She was thrown 10 feet and her body slammed against an opposite wall. Her hair burned off, along with much of her flesh. Blood poured from open wounds on her head and body.

Her good friend Wafa, standing nearby Samaa, was decapitated instantly. When they found him, he was still clutching his Bible to his chest.

Samaa cried out silently in her intense agony and pain, "Jesus, help me."

When her eyes closed, she lost consciousness, she had a very remarkable near-death experience in Heaven. "When I opened my eyes I saw brilliant white light illuminating Jesus," she recounts in her book. "His face was brighter than the sun, and He was so glorious and transcending, that I was blinded with unapproachable light. Everything around me was bathed in golden light."

Overwhelmed by His glory, she fell face-down at His feet.

"Do not be afraid," He told her. He reminded Samaa that His precious Blood was shed for her and cleansed her, making her holy and pure enough to enter His presence—all because of His great love.

Samaa states that Jesus could read all the thoughts of her heart. "Welcome home," He told her. She notes that His voice was "sweet and gentle, yet also powerful, like the sound of many waters."

"His beautiful eyes were like blazing fires of consuming love that overwhelmed me. Like a magnet, His love drew me in, melting my heart and transforming me from the inside out. Embraced by love, I started to weep."

I wanted everyone on earth to experience it too.

Those peace-loving Muzzies are trying their best to expedite the process.

A lot of courage in that lady. How do you convert from the religion of your family and friends, especially with threats of death for doing it? I’m glad I didn’t have to. I wonder if I would be that brave. I had it easy. Born in the US and a Catholic.

My tagline: Good Muslims, like good Nazis or good Communists, are terrible human beings.

Amen. I fully believe that this happened. Many Muslims are good and sincere people. But they are trapped in a culture that feeds them only hateful crap and does not let them hear the Good News.

Jesus finds many ways to reach people to save them.

I don't believe a word of it.
Besides, there's not a non-native English speaking Muslim alive that could write like this. And most Muslim women would never, ever broadcast their story like this. It would bring shame on their family and no one would do that to his or her family.

Urban myth, lie, rabble-rousing story, whatever = no truth here.

Acts 4:

13 Now when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

When the Holy Spirit moves in it changes people and they exhibit a knowledge much greater than their education or background.

While I too am somewhat skeptical, I feel it is possible and have personally met Muslims who met Jesus and felt His Love, thus changing their lives.

Just as many people conveniently find Jesus in prison and subsequently return to their previous ways, it is possible that this is a convenient experience. However, this woman chose Christianity against the will of her family and set herself up for persecution by doing so prior to this horrendous experience. Thus I tend to believe her faith as a Christian is sound.

Okay.
I guess then that I tend to NOT believe her faith as a Christian is sound. But, what do I know. My husband and I lived and worked in the middle east for five years and we got to know the people and culture well. Or I thought. Lol. That was five YEARS, not five months or five weeks.

I was just thinking about the little boy who saw heaven (in the movie) and he said the colors were brighter. Light is dependent upon the natural surroundings here, if you have taken pictures the best time is early morning or late evening, however, in heaven God is the source of light and there is no interference, hence, pure color.

Just needed to chat with someone who would understand.
