Church leader RT Kendall has said that he believes Yasser Arafat may have accepted Christ before his death a decade ago.
November 11 marks ten years since the death of the PLO leader, regarded as a heroic freedom fighter by many Palestinians and a terrorist by many Israelis.
The first time RT Kendall was granted rare access to Arafat, the Christian writer and speaker told him he had prayed for him every day for 20 years. According to Kendall, the 20-minute appointment turned into an hour and 45 minutes, and an unlikely friendship began.
The third time Kendall visited Arafat, the pair watched The Passion of the Christ together, along with 30 members of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
Arafat wept during the viewing and allowed Kendall to pray for him at the end. During each of his five visits, Kendall was able to speak to Arafat about Jesus death and resurrection, and of how to accept Christ.
Kendall says that, despite Arafats translator attempting to intervene, the Arab leader was determined to hear more about Jesus and the gospel.
"It wouldn't surprise me to see him in heaven, says Kendall.Ill tell you why. I prayed with him five times, anointed him with oil, I gave him a [salvation] prayer I'm not saying I know that hes saved; I'm saying I wouldn't be surprised."

I wouldn’t be surprised if that heretic RT Kendall meets Arafat in the afterlife and the two of them discuss how “heaven” is far, far hotter than they thought it would be.

Robert Tillman Kendall (born July 13, 1935) is a Christian writer, speaker, and teacher who pastored Westminster Chapel for 25 years. He is author of more than 50 books, including Total Forgiveness.[1] Kendall is currently listed as part of the Word, Spirit & Power team, a non-denominational Charismatic ministry.
If somehow Arafat got to heaven, he is probably running around, trying to boink little boy angels.
What doesn’t surprise me is that a proponent of the modern, “feel good”, “no obligations,” “everyone is special,” “God only cares about love” brand of Christianity would say something like this.
Oscar Pistorius Begins Psychiatric Evaluation, Christian Minister Asks People to Pray for Him
If he’s there, send me to Hell.
If he’s right I’m signing up for AdultFriendFinder tomorrow . . .
Same as me.
I’m thinking that if you see Yasser in the afterlife, you are NOT in heaven.
I imagine the only thing he said was “Jaysus Christ, that hurts!”
I have no idea who RT Kendall is nor what “church” he leads but if he thinks an unrepentant terrorist is in heaven, he is not praying to the same God as the rest of us.
On the other hand, I might be surprised to see Mohammad the Prophet there. Just my opinion.
Of course, I will certainly be surprised to see me there, also. I'm not kidding.
RE: Of course, I will certainly be surprised to see me there, also. I’m not kidding.
It is not too late you know...
I cannot help but doubt that he did so, but you are 100% correct.
RE: but if he thinks an unrepentant terrorist is in heaven, he is not praying to the same God as the rest of us.
Well, the point is he believes Arafat DID repent before he died.
Whether he’s right nor not remains to be seen.
Only God and Yasser now know whether he repented of his enormous sin and put his faith in Jesus, his Savior.

Amen, bro. Amen. Thief on the cross. ‘Nuff said.
Years ago, I attended a service at a Christian & Missionary Alliance church in which some idiotic woman stood and upbraided the congregation for not preraching the Gospel enough to outsiders. She said that a young woman who lived near her had recented died and "now that girl is in Hell!"
She didn't know where that girl was because she was too ignorant to understand that only God knows what is in our hearts and only God is the judge.
Regardless of our contempt for Arafat's actions on earth, God knows if his sins were forgiven through the blood of Jesus or not. What sin is too big for God to forgive?
