The Italians DO make absolutely beautiful cars, silk scarves..so many things. But, their "maquinas" are like their government: that is, nothing works. 

I knew a man who claimed that he slept with dozens of women, attracted to him because he drove a Fiat sports car. He claimed that he would never have to pay for sex, as long as he owns it. I told him he already was paying for it, only the money was going to his mechanic.
