Plus he’s mean and vindictive and fires anyone that does not agree with his liberal views.

That's pretty persuasive. Yet, for some reason, I hesitate to sign on with the RCC just right now if ever.

If you believe that becoming a Catholic means "signing on with the RCC," then you ought never to do so. FAITH involves you entire mind, heart and soul, not a sign-up document or mental assent to believe in Catholic dogma. It really is so much more than that.

To become a Catholic you WOULD discover the beauty and majesty of the seven Sacraments. You would go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation, a most profound Sacrament.

Also, we believe that ONLY Catholic ordained priests have the authority to say the words that change bread and wine into the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus. That is, no matter how devout and good any Protestant may be, THEY do not have any minister or reverend who has that authority. So, even if devout Protestants THINK that they are ingesting the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus with THEIR pastoral feast, they aren't.

There WERE no Protestants until the 16th century so the Catholic Church had 1500 years of preaching the Word, Catholic (which just means "universal") dogma and administering the seven Sacraments.

Also, now in 2014 there are 40,000 DIFFERENT PROTESTANT denominations in the world. Google it; I didn't make that up.
There is one Catholic Church that has, since the 1960's, united even more. Those were from the efforts and much time by the various pontiffs and world-wide prelates.
Even the Orthodoxies have united with Rome. I THINK that the last holdout is the Russian Orthodoxy. And who knows, they may even join with the world-wide Roman Catholic Church.
Besides, a Russian Orthodox service is all done behind hidden screens (with more than one priest--hard to tell since we couldn't see anything but the screens) so you can't see ANYTHING and everyone has the STAND during the entire service. I did go to a service once. It WAS beautiful, what we were allowed to glimpse at.

Our good Lord became flesh into this world 2000 years ago while it was under the domination of the Roman Empire...and He must have had good reasons for doing so.
