If you knew anything about history, why would you say Galileo was in fear of his life?

...as all the nuns and religious brothers will attest? Vocations have not increased relative to the pre-Vatican II period.

I am not so sure Francis is really Catholic. He is a strong supporter of Marxist liberation theology, an unorthodox at best, or a beach head for communist infiltration in the church, this heretical movement was proscribed by H.H. John Paul II and H.H. Benedict XVI.

Vocations keep growing among those religious orders that remain faithful and in strict compliance with the Catholic doctrine and the Magisterium teachings. Those are the ones that are being persecuted by Pope Francis while he opened the doors to the followers of the Marxist liberation theology.

In a 1998 book called Dialogues between John Paul II and Fidel Castro, Bergoglio harshly criticized socialism.

But, it seems that Bergoglio have evolved quite remarkably. According to Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller, actually, his prefect for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Pope Francis has close ties with liberation theology. This is the same discaterio that once condemned the movement. In the 1980s the CDF under then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger attacked liberation theology as borrowing “from various currents of Marxist thought“.

The idea of the chastisement of the Church is from prophecy.

dear mr. don-o,
(your perceived written attitude is that of a slot-nosed boy)

Why would you ask such a question, and then just click a link, instead of actuaally asking me something of substance?
Are you afraid of expounding on an idea?
Are you incapable of expressing a complete, cognizant, formulated thought?
Or are you just another lazy-butt internet troll, working on your G.E.D., in the basement of your mommy’s house?

Now, come come!

Any theocracy, including the Roamn papacy, before the Reformation, that holds the right to throne and dethrone feudal rulers, and py payment, one can acquire absolution for sins committed, isn’t worth it’s salt.

Lay off, Terry. Mrs. Don-O (and I know her real name as she is a published author and well-known pro-lifer) is possibly the most erudite, intelligent, and respected Catholic (or any) FReeper.

Thanks onyx. I am sure the Mrs will be in soon to sort out the matter at hand. We just returned from dinner with the Marine on the eve of his departure to Flight School.

Terry, I have evidently offended you and I am sorry. The link I sent was something I had written on this very subject several times before. I could have cut-and-pasted the whole thing to you but I was in a hurry. My Marine son is in town, won't get to see him again for at least a year, depending where they send him-- we were about out the door.

Next time I will try to communicate more adequately. Merry 2nd Day of Christmas to you and all your loved ones.

Thank you. I'll try hard to be worthy of such gracious words. And the insults are a very small hill of beans, right? Bring an onion, we'll make soup.

Make soup and make merry! Christus Natus Est!

Best wishes of the season to you, as well. I know it had to be tough. I hope and prey that the unspeakable joy and the peace that passes understanding is yours, despite the sorrow.
