TOPICS: Apologetics
KEYWORDS: jesus; saves
Jesus Christ is the author of EVERYTHING. To think for even a moment that Jesus CANNOT save ALL PEOPLE, automatically, denotes him to a position below and inferior to Satan. Oh, yes….This reasoning cannot be refuted, because Satan was able to in one single act CAUSE EVERYONE to be born into SIN AGAINST THEIR WILL. (Not a single person born since creation had a say in the matter?) Whereas, Jesus Christ, the Word, the perfect pure example of our Heavenly FATHER, ***** CANNOT ***** possibly Save anyone, unless they “Choose to be Saved.”

Why would anyone even consider an understanding that, gives Satan more power than our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Many will quickly say that “We have FREE WILL,” but this is a fallacy, for there is nothing free about being born into the unescapable bondage of sin. Granted, some have always had Faith in our Heavenly Father, while others, seemingly not at all.

Well, speaking from purely my own understanding, some were given Faith enough and some not. I say “given” because, I have always known everything I have written on this blog. These following Scriptures simply affirm it.

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. – Rom 8:29, 29

He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— – Eph 1:5

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, – Eph 1:11

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as ****God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. **** – Rom 12:3

So, please read on, and discover how Christ will save Every Last person. “For whom the Lord LOVES He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. If ye endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for which son is he whom the father chastens not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye BASTARDS, and not sons.” – Heb. 12:6-8

Father will chastens and scourges ALL of His children.

Lets be clear that we all understand what “Scourges” means:

noun: scourge; plural noun: scourges

1. historical a whip used as an instrument of punishment.

synonyms: whip, horsewhip, lash, strap, birch, switch, bullwhip, rawhide; “he was beaten with a scourge”

2. a person or thing that causes great trouble or suffering. “the scourge of mass unemployment”

synonyms: affliction, bane, curse, plague, menace, evil, misfortune, burden, cross to bear;

verb: scourge; 3rd person present: scourges; past tense: scourged; past participle: scourged; gerund or present participle: scourging

1. historical whip (someone) as a punishment.

synonyms: flog, whip, beat, horsewhip, lash, flagellate, strap, birch, cane, thrash, belt, leather; “he was publicly scourged”

If Father “LOVES” those whom He chastens, and scourges, does He then “HATE ” the Bastards?

Now this is a very good question and it is worthy of much Scriptural consideration.

Jesus tells us in Mathew:

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? – Mat 5:43, 46

Is it reasonable to suggest that Father commanded us to do something and then does something completely different?

Not according to Jesus, because his final instruction in this lesson speaks differently.

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. – Mat 5:48

We are told to be perfect just as God, our Father is perfect. So, Father must Love the “bastards” and must chasten and scourge them also.

Scripture gives us some insight into the scourging process

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames. – 1Cr 3:11-15

Paul clearly states that though a person, may lose everything, this person will be saved as if by fire.

What fire?

For our God [is] a consuming fire. – Hbr 12:29

Yes, Father is the “Spiritual” fire that will burn forever, for all eternity. Nothing or no one will ever extinguish Him. One can see that the fire of Father is just like the supposed Hell fire. Does this mean that the fire will burn away man’s sinful nature forever? Of course not, the fire will burn only while there are impurities to burn. Just like a fire burning in a forest, it can only burn while there is something to burn.

But what is the real purpose of this fire? Not what you might assume. Read on.

But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. – Mal 3:2

Yes, every impurity will be washed away, and Gods children ALL OF THEM NOT A SELECT FEW. will be as pure as white snow.

Ah, many will now wonder about the word “Punish” but did you know that Jesus never used the word in any of the Gospels. In fact the King James Version only has the word “punish” mentioned once in the Greek Scriptures (New Testament).

So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might ***punish*** them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.- Act 4:21

Strong’s Concordance gives a very interesting meaning to word:

Punish (G2849)

a) to lop or prune, as trees and wings b) to curb, check, restrain c) to chastise, correct, punishment d) to cause to be punished Do you find it surprising that “punishment” is only the 3rd rendering? Even then it falls behind, Chastise and Correct. Isn’t it amazing that this the same word used in the word CHASTEND as just previously discussed.

Could it be possible that the word “punishment”, should actually be “correction?” Fits perfectly with the all Consuming Fire of God, correcting each individual by burning up everything that is not based in LOVE.

Paul never used the word Punish. In fact did you catch what he really said earlier?

1Cr 3:13 their *** WORK *** will be shown for what it is……

It is “our” work that will shown for what it is, not “us!” We will be cleansed, corrected. Now this might not be pleasant, but it is not going to last forever and we will be purified because of it.

Jesus is the great shepherd and he spoke of this.

But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ – Luk 15:2-6

Jesus is the Great Shepherd, He will not cease searching until the last person is found and bought back into his fold.

But then, what of Revelation and all of the horrors mentioned there? Would you believe that God’s Word provides a clear path of events. There is life after Revelation, life for all.

Darby Translation:

of which I became minister, according to the dispensation of God which [is] given me towards you to complete the word of God. – Col 1:25

Yes, Paul was commissioned to complete the Word of God. Not John.

Heresy? Hardly, because we have the Scriptures that agree.

“In the book of Revelation we do not have the final plan of God. Paul, in 1 Cor. 15:22-28 takes us much further into the future than does the book of Revelation. To illustrate this more clearly, study the following: 1 Cor. 15:22-28 as compared with the new heaven and new earth of Revelation 20, 21 & 23

In 1 Cor. 15:22-28, we have: * No more rule * No more authority * No more power * No more enemies * No more reigning * All subjected * No more death, death destroyed. * All made alive, immortal

In Revelation 20, 21 & 22, we have: * Still rule (20:6; 22:5) * Son still reigns (22:1-5; 11:5) * Authority (21:24,25) * Power (21:24,25; 22:2) * Kings (21:24-26) * Saints reign (22:5) * Second death still exists (21:5) * The nations still mortal (22:2)

Consequently, Col. 1:16-20: * All in heaven and earth created in Him (verse 16) * All for Him (verse 16) * All estranged are reconciled (verse 20)

18 so then as it was by one offence towards all men to condemnation, so by one righteousness towards all men for justification of life. 19 For as indeed by the disobedience of the one man ***the many*** have been constituted sinners, so also by the obedience of the one ***the many**** will be constituted righteous. 20 But law came in, in order that the offence might abound; but where sin abounded grace has over-abounded, 21 in order that, even as sin has reigned in the power of death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. – Romans 5:18-21 (Darby)

We can find much comfort in the above Scripture. Did you notice that Paul speaks of the same many? Who wins? Jesus or Satan?

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails….. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV)

Clearly, a never failing LOVE and Endless Torture have NOTHING in common.

The following words of Jesus should never be overlooked.

But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. – Luke 12:48 NIV

So, there is a clear distinction between those who have been given much (ears to hear – Mk 4:9) and those who have not.

I would guess no one would place themselves in the group where little is to be expected, though this is the group where little will be asked. Both other groups will be required to deliver Much and Much, Much more respectively.

Jesus knew many would not understand:

He said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been ***given to you ***, but to others I speak in parables, so that, “ ‘though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’ It makes no sense to believe that Father is going to punish those who do not know him, the ones who were not given Spiritual Eyes and Ears so that they could understand Jesus and then torture them unmercifully forever and ever when only a small amount is to be asked. Jesus said that the punishment will be light. It simply could not last longer than those who fail to deliver high expectations. However, following on from earlier, substituting PUNISHMENT with ***Correction*** one can easily see the similarity with the old adage: “You cannot reach and old Dog new tricks” (Father can)

The ones so often doomed to endless suffering are simply mere puppies, little is expected of them.

I would suggest everyone take a real careful look at their own heart. No one wants to hear Jesus say: “Be-gone , I do not know you” on the last day.

As would-be old dogs, the new training / cleansing will likely be quite severe and many will surely dig in against Father and much gnashing of teeth

I ask again: Who wins, Jesus or Satan?

Hint: LOVE never fails

Jesus the Great Shepherd.

Then Jesus told them this parable:

“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ - Luke 15:3-6

I cannot emphasize enough, the similarities between a lost sheep and a spiritually deaf and blind person. Both lack the reasoning to determine the inherent dangers of going out alone.

Jesus made a point of asking: Who wouldn’t leave the 99 sheep to find the one which is lost?

Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord – Hebrews 13:20

How can the greatest Shepherd of all, sit back and as much say: “If they don’t want to stay with me, let them go. They will pay in time.” This is as much as a lazy human shepherd, leaving the flock at the mercy of the wolves. Believing that Jesus is the Great Shepherd, yet also believing that he only tends to the flock that stays near him, is anything but a shepherd mindful of his flock.

How is one to expect a deaf and blind would-be, sheep to find his/her way back to safety, even though they lack the spiritual intelligence to realize that they need it, for: “Their senseless minds have been darkened” - Rom 1:21.

We should look upon such lost ones as these with such loving compassion and realize just as Jesus knew when he stated: “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34

Jesus said to inherit Fathers Kingdom, one must become as little children. How is it that a child can understand such simple logic, but the learned cannot?

So many say that Father is justified in punishing those who reject Him. This is such a travesty, for Father must remain true to Himself. Perfect Love, loves perfectly!

That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe. – 1 Timothy 4:10

Jesus is definitely the Greatest Shepherd
