Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD, Our God,
How Excellent is Your Name over all the Earth!
How Wonderful You Are,
How Magnificent,
and How Glorious!
Magnified and Sanctified is Your Most Holy Name,
And from Generation to Generation,
Shall all People Call You Great and Wonderful!
For You Alone Are Worthy, You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God Of Abraham!
The Heavens Declare your Glory,
And We Look To You As Our Only Source of Light and Life!

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

This one obscure sentence in Genesis speaks volumes to us! How many of our beloved fellow FReepers have had their child show up with the absolute WORST possible suitor (or girlfriend, as in the case of Esau), and announce wedding plans? You just KNOW it's headed for disaster, but what can you do? The Scriptures don't tell us at this point why Isaac and Rebecca were so upset, but later on we see that it is the Tribal Affiliation that is the problem. Now, you may say, that was pretty intolerant of the parents! After all, aren't we supposed to be one big happy family?

We have to remember that Isaac and Rebecca were the Guardians of a Promise. At this point in time, Esau was still considered the "First Born", even though he had sold his birthright for a bowl of soup. God had promised Abraham, and then Isaac, descendants who would be as numerous as the stars, and yet, here was Esau, marrying a couple of Hittites! Little did they know that the Promise would come through Esau's tricky little brother!

Sometimes we get so upset with others because they seem to be interfering in God's Plan for our lives! We feel that we need to control all the parameters, and manipulate the outcome to suit what we believe is God's Plan. The Great heroes of Genesis, from Abraham all the way to the Sons of Israel, all have these "moments". We all need to learn how to "Let Go and Let God."

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
