15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
That's all there was at Paul's time. .
And, evidently, enough for Jesus.
For when He told the story of Lazurus and the Great Gulf fixed; that is what was mentioned.

His epistles are in the Scriptures, are they not. God put them their according to His will as He used Paul to write them. Or do you not remember, Paul was an apostle of God to the Gentiles and preached the Word and was a Holy man of God who wrote the words God inspired him to, as is true of all the Scriptures. Not so of church tradition, however sound it may appear.
