FYI Orthodox Great Lent begins at sundown this coming Sunday with Forgiveness Vespers.
This is “Cheesefare week”. The Orthodox began abstaining from meat and fish on Monday; the last eggs and dairy will be eaten on “Cheesefare Sunday”.
Then it is no meat, no fish, no eggs, no dairy until Pascha on April 12.
How does a person get their protein?
