Bravo Archbishop “Lionheart”!
you know
if I am a member of a church, especially one that has taught certain moral tenets for centuries and centuries,
I would feel pretty much bound by those teachings
(or else I am always free to find another church, or just leave entirely if I wish)
my continued membership in a church should be understood to include my agreeing to follow (or to try to follow as best I can) its core teachings.
simple straight-forward and honest.
simple straight-forward and honest.
but all in all, the point here is the first one...
if I continue my membership in a church it means I agree to try to obey its major tenets
and
if I am not willing to do this, I really should not continue with that church. It would simply be dishonest if I did.
We read from time to time about people who are so fortunate as to have jobs with churches (or church schools) and who are running some sort of whorehouses or harems or sex orgies or robbery rings...on the side....or even on the job.
These folks are dishonest and I have no sympathy with them at all.
he should just leave SF and not look back, lest he become a pillar of salt
If any of these Democrats (i.e., baby-murderers) claim to be “Catholic” and are receiving Communion, and Cordileone does not instruct all his priests to deny them Communion, then Cordileone may be a “culture warrior,” but he’s not doing his job as a bishop.
