One of the many foolish articles written despite several homilies by Francis urging repentance before forgiveness. Indeed, while in Buenos Aires, as Cardinal he called homosexual marriage the work of the devil and preached adoption by homosexual as child abuse.

If one is looking for anti-Catholic hits there are some other websites that may provide more HuffPo-type fodder than this one.

So, what did he mean by his homily then?

Your idea of “repentance” is as twisted as Francis’. What good is repentance if one continues to live a life of adultery?

As always, any divorced and remarried Catholic can now go to Confession, receive forgiveness and then choose to either return to his one and only true spouse or live a single life.

Yours and Francis’ argument could very well be used to give Holy Communion to “repentant” child rapists who wish to continue raping children.

Except that those who repent, confess and amend their lives have always been free to receive Holy Communion. Therefore, his comment regarding shut doors makes absolutely no sense except in the context of Holy Communion for unrepentant adulterers, the focus of Kasper's nouvelle, "serene" theologie.
