When Did the Resurrection Go from Rumor to an Official Declaration of the Church?

We need the roman catholic church to make it official that Christ rose on the third day????

Reminds me that the Church is an institution, consisting of a community of believers. Not only, nor even a collection of persons to whom Jesus has made himself known. Still, lest the Apostles be proud, he first made himself known to a mere woman.
