I want straight hair.
I’m sorry that all of you only got a snippet of this wonderful article, and I can’t post it for another four hours so will add onto this thread.
Monsignor Pope Ping
Yet in almost every church on a given Sunday, we proclaim in the third article of the creed, "I believe... in the Resurrection of the body".
Stunningly, many Christian think this refers to Jesus's bodily resurrection. However, since this statement is in the third article it clearly refers to the believer and the church.
We also did not understand that then Jesus spoke about internal life he was talking about Resurrection. Sadducees did not believe in the resurrection but believed in the after life. Jesus was clearly giving hope to an eternal physical life and not just a spiritual eternal life. He raised Lazarath from the dead to give a glimpse of Resurrection. He did not open a portal and show Lazarath in Heaven to make everyone feel better, he raised him physically from the dead.
Finally, Christianity is the only religion that believes in resurrection. That sets it apart. Christianity is a physical and personal FAITH, not a mystical and impersonal religion.
Thanks for posting this. My best friend and I were sitting at lunch yesterday discussing this in relationship to her twins one of which died at birth. Consequently he has appeared to both her and her husband in a dream as about a 4 year old child. I am forwarding this to her.
