Your post made me smile...
Back then, we would have been punished by Sister; then sent down to the dreaded, "Office"; then to Monsignor. Worst of all, home to Mom (the yeller) and Dad (the hitter). Needless to say, I got in very little trouble in school.

To a kid today, that would sound awful: but if I could, I'd do it all over again. From the teacher on down, I was loved and cared about enough that all those people made certain I did the right thing. Went through high school afterward without a single detention to my name. Kept in touch, too. It was a blessing.

So here's to those nuns who cared enough about those kids to take a stand about what they were taught! God bless therm all!
