For Heaven's sake, don't bury any statues of St. Joseph. That's superstition.

For Heaven's sake, don't bury any statues of St. Joseph. That's superstition.

I always thought so until my parents were unable to sell their home. As a professional real estate broker, my mother was quite savvy in terms of pricing, positioning and marketing their home. Despite using every trick in the book, the house remained unsold 6 months after listing it. My folks are not very religious so I cautiously approached them with the notion of asking the intercession of St. Joseph. By then, they were desperate to sell without losing their investment in the house. We buried a statue of St. Joseph adjacent to the walkway. I reminded them that this was not a talisman or good luck charm. It was important that they ask St. Joseph for his assistance. Within a week, they received several offers on their home, all of which either matched or exceeded their asking price.

You may want to chalk this up to coincidence. While I personally do not condone this practice, I do believe in saintly intervention through prayer. In this instance, those prayers were heard.
