I thought the definition of an Irish homosexual was a man who liked women more than whiskey. Now that is the definition of a Irish minority member?

There is no such thing as “live and let live” in homosexual marriage. Marriage is a public acknowledgement and reinforcement of the family which makes homosexual marriage a mockery of real marriage.

At the individual level, it’s pretty sad that people are so callous or misinformed that they would encourage anyone to indulge in homosexual behavior.

The Irish have always prided themselves as being gaelic, they are just changing its meaning. (sarcasm)

It’s not who votes, it’s who counts the votes.

Emphasis mine - “”... the hundreds of thousands of Irish people who did vote No. The fact that NO POLITICAL PARTY SUPPORTED THEM must be a concern from a democratic point of view. “”””

It is indeed a “concern” when no political body supports individuals who think/believe differently, and more - that religious institutions find themselves forced to advance secular viewpoints that run in complete opposition to their core beliefs....: /

Dear Lord, guide our course.

“There’s a big gay rainbow over Dublin,” Smith tweeted.

Can we assume that Ireland’s colors are no longer green? Get ready for the sodomite parades that will degenerate into overt exhibitionism.

The bishops everywhere SHOULD instruct their parishioners to reject sin and depravity . NOT telling the Irish people they should vote to reject homosexuality for the good of themselves, their children, and their nation was a breach of duty.

I find it sad that the Archbishop felt he could not tell people how to vote. Speaking the truth is sometimes harsh, but it is his duty to do so. The Church in Ireland has failed young people 100%. They have taught the young that if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.

So you are part of the gay marriage crowd, that excludes you from the conservative crowd.

It was also stupid and wrong of Quinn to congratulate the homos as though it was just a soccer match and not the destruction of a nation.

**Dublin Archbishop Diarmuid Martin said the “overwhelming vote” against church teaching on gay marriage meant that Catholic leaders in Ireland needed urgently to find a new message and voice for reaching Ireland’s young. **

Amen!

All the Irish do not fit into one bucket.

Don’t people remember all the Catholic Irish fighting the Protestant Irish?

Where are the Protestants speaking out against this?
