40 QUESTIONS FOR CHRISTIANS NOW WAVING RAINBOW FLAGS
The Gospel Coalition ^ | 7/1/2015 | Kevin DeYoung

For evangelicals who lament last Friday’s Supreme Court decision, it’s been a hard few days. We aren’t asking for emotional pity, nor do I suspect many people are eager to give us any. Our pain is not sacred. Making legal and theological decisions based on what makes people feel better is part of what got us into this mess in the first place. Nevertheless, it still hurts.

There are many reasons for our lamentation, from fear that religious liberties will be taken away to worries about social ostracism and cultural marginalization. But of all the things that grieve us, perhaps what’s been most difficult is seeing some of our friends, some of our family members, and some of the folks we’ve sat next to in church giving their hearty “Amen” to a practice we still think is a sin and a decision we think is bad for our country. It’s one thing for the whole nation to throw a party we can’t in good conscience attend. It’s quite another to look around for friendly faces to remind us we’re not alone and then find that they are out there jamming on the dance floor. We thought the rainbow was God’s sign (Gen. 9:8-17).

If you consider yourself a Bible-believing Christian, a follower of Jesus whose chief aim is to glorify God and enjoy him forever, there are important questions I hope you will consider before picking up your flag and cheering on the sexual revolution. These questions aren’t meant to be snarky or merely rhetorical. They are sincere, if pointed, questions that I hope will cause my brothers and sisters with the new rainbow themed avatars to slow down and think about the flag you’re flying.

I’m sick of hearing that so called Christians say we should reach out and love them while they fly their rainbows swastikas at other Christians and attack us.
Preachers were beaten in the street, churches are attacked, Christians are being sued and silenced , mainly because they are cowards and won’t speak up.
It’s a war and staying silent is helping them for the demise of Christianity .

Christians are being attacked and the left wants an end to Christianity .

How about substituting one statement for the 40 questions:

If you are waving that flag or otherwise supporting the faux marriage between two sodomites you are not a Christian.

Takes much less time and is more to the point.

A marriage is between me a man& a woman period anything g else is something else

The issue is the act of sodomy
When that was legalized the issue was lost

No-fault divorce, divorce/remarriage, sterilization, and contraception redefined marriage and sex, decades ago. Churches and their institutions (e.g. schools, colleges, charities) of any and all denominations which have failed to draw the line against THESE offenses, are going to find it very difficult to start now with the gheys.

Which is to say, if your "straight" couples aren't upholding the norms of Biblical marriage ONLY and natural sex ONLY, you know darn well you're in a poor position to demand that of the gheys. Deviants? The vast majority of "straights" have already deviated. The deviants can say, "Why not us, too?"

I know some good, committed Christians that are listening to the propaganda instead of the Spirit. They say “I know it is sinful but we let adulterous people get married too, so why not gays?” The difference, of course, is that an adulterer can repent and embrace true marriage, whereas a homosexual “marriage” is automatically and inevitably sinful.

I know some good, committed Christians

How can they be "good, committed Christians" if they are basically accepting something that God calls an Abomination?

This is going to be a test for believers.....and we’re going to see a separation between those who are Christians and those who only profess so.

...”No-fault divorce, divorce/remarriage, sterilization, and contraception redefined marriage and sex, decades ago.”....

That's like saying pedophiles/homosexuals in the catholic church are that way because of celibacy. What this law has done is simply legalize 'sexual activity' between two persons of the same sex .....has nothing to do with divorce rates, contraceptives etc. It has to do with men who have turned their back on God and become sexual addicts as well as exhibitionists.

Actually, sodomitic acts are a turning away from natural sex, and these acts are sterile. Contraceptive acts are likewise a turning away from natural sex, and these acts are sterile. MOST "straight" people WANT their sex to be sterile MOST of the time, would be terrified of having to be confined to "natural" sex, and therefore can't muster a coherent argument against homosexual unions.

They have sex for mutual satisfaction on many levels, but not for the procreative purpose which is, by God's design, its structural, psychological and spiritual core.

They can't explain why sex should just be between a man and a woman, because if fertility isn't a factor, the different anatomies have no significance. "Gender" (as they call it) has no significance.

People who have deliberately ditched this level of significance (contraceptors and sodomists) will eventually be having sex with warm, responsive, rechargeable Japanese androids, and "person" will have no significance.

I wrote ...”No-fault divorce, divorce/remarriage, sterilization, and contraception redefined marriage and sex, decades ago.”

and you said...

"That's like saying pedophiles/homosexuals in the catholic church are that way because of celibacy."

No, that's not like saying that at all. Not even by analogy. Not even close.

That sentence is not an argument, it is a fact.
