I would be surprised if this Pope did that. If he reacts at all, it will likely be in a very ambiguous, indirect, non sequiter manner of expression. Some sort of a wise and obscure quotation. His statement will be so diplomatic, that each side will think the Pope agrees with them.

When the Pope speaks, Catholics from all parts of the world listen. Fewer and fewer. He's driving people out of the Church and engineering a schism by promoting dissension and debate regarding settled doctrine.
